JOB SUMMARY:
About the Agency
This position is located in the Cultural Resources Center (CRC), National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI), Smithsonian Institution. The employee provides assistance in terms of carrying out the daily registration activities by assisting with collections processing and database activities, as well as working with internal and external parties.
KEY REQUIREMENTS

Coordinates shipping and receiving for acquisitions and manages related financial procurement needs. Coordinates with the Photography Department for collection object transfer to and from the photo studio.
Assists with cataloging new acquisitions to the collections directly into the Museum's relational Collections Information System (CIS) database EMu. Manages document and image uploads to CIS and confirms successful execution of uploads.
Assists with condition reporting of objects when moving in and out of the collections.
Provides annual statistical collections cataloging data, as requested.
Appropriately labels new acquisitions to the NMAI collections. Generates and maintains the Collections Pass object movement log and documents.
