·  Awarded competitive $4,305 grant to complete original research focusing on the German fascination with Native Americans

·  Created, analyzed, and planned an 18 day cultural anthropological and historical research study to five museums in Germany (Munich, Radebeul, Berlin, Hamburg, and Stuttgart) comparing and contrasting the organization of the exhibitions and the specific artifacts chosen to be displayed in the exhibitions

·  Crafted a comprehensive budget sheet outlining the details for airfare, accommodations, and travel between the five cities

·  Designed a multi-poster temporary exhibition to display results of research, reserved space in North Central College’s Oesterle library for the exhibition opening, installed, designed and distributed invitations, constructed a newspaper ad, had a successful exhibition opening party, and de-installed exhibit

 

Laboratory Experience                                                                             July 2014

·  Used laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) to perform a   compositional analysis of prehistoric Native American pottery from Alabama.
