Program Manager for its Neighborhood Initiative; Atlanta History Center - Atlanta, GA


The Atlanta History Center is looking for a highly motivated and results-oriented professional to fill a part-time, one-year position as Program Manager for its Neighborhoods Initiative.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the development of exhibitions and programs that help Atlantans interpret the unique history of their neighborhoods. The successful candidate will have a passion for, and desire to learn about, the rich history, art, and culture of Metro Atlanta communities.  S/he must be comfortable facilitating dialogue to help people determine their interests and to assist with all aspects of research and development for interpretation of neighborhood stories onsite at the museum as well as at community-based locations.  This interpretation may include exhibitions, video, museum theater, or other programming. 

The successful candidate will be a strategic and innovative thinker, as well as a self-starter who demonstrates strong verbal and written communications skills, energy, creative vision, and possesses a positive attitude and human relations orientation; is goal-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet myriad deadlines; possesses a strong sense of personal and professional integrity with the ability to exercise authority and accept responsibility.
